Firefox alternative, Flock on Ubuntu

I have installed Flock again. This time for using it on my aging Home PC and not just for checking how it looks. My home PC has Ubuntu. I was using Firefox and Opera. But Opera is not correctly supported by Gmail.

I was looking for Flock from quite sometime but unlucky I have not found this Deb website for Ubuntu. Here I got deb file and that made Flock browser installation easier. Flock has a great advantage over Opera for us. I can use almost all application with Flock I can use on Firefox. Google Toolbar I have tired on Opera and that was not working correctly. So, for these reason I was trying to install Flock.

Here 'http://www.getdeb.net/app/Flock', I got three versions for 32 bit PC - Hardy, Intrepid and Jaunty. Hardy = Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, Intrepid = Ubuntu 8.10 and Jaunty = Ubuntu 9.04. If you wish, you can donate some ammount to www.getdeb.net. 🙂

To know your Ubuntu Version, use this command:

cat /etc/lsb-release

You may need to link your flash plugin for Flock .
sudo ln -sf /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so /usr/share/flock/plugins

First you need to check your libflashplayer.so file path and then flock plugins directory. The above was my path settings.
